MediaMosa 2 release candidate 1

We are proud to announce the release of MediaMosa 2 Release Candidate 1.

Some of the new features:

• Developed on Drupal version 7.
• Complete rewrite of all core code.
• Using more Drupal hooks for better integration with Drupal.
• 20% to 25% faster than v1.7.
• Redesign of the database layout.
• Now only requires one single database installation.
• REST documentation included in online administration.
• REST development tool for testing REST calls.
• Easier configuration than v1.7.

If you have a v1.7 database, a tool is included to migrate your database to v2.

The new version number is 2.2.0, due to the fact that the core software is in production for some time. This release is called a Release candidate mainly for the Installation profile and unreleased new features we put into v2.2.0.

We made a considerate effort compared to version 1.7 in the installation profile, and tried to fix the problems mentioned in the forum. There are still some things we will improve in a next version (better transcoding profile examples).
